Vellian trekked onward, motioning for her companions to follow behind as she traversed through the tall grass, leading them into a mountain pass that lied between two tall plateaus that extended from the mountains, one of the only ways to get in and out of the kingdom. The soldiers were told of this location beforehand, and how if an enemy nation invaded it would work as an excellent position to fight at.
"Come on, everyone. I'm sure it must've gone through here..."
She trekked onwards, the tall grass still preventing vision of the traveler's legs as it extended up three and a half feet, touching their hips as they pursued the beast back to where it was hiding. The Outlands really looked like some alien world in comparison to the rich grasslands and farmland that spanned the location where the Outer City and Castle lay, the forest merely acting as a buffer zone to keep eyes away from it. Vellian looked unfazed by all of the new sights though, her eyes narrowing as she kept a determined pace after the monster they were taking so long to chase after.

Paldonna looked around the grassy sight, keeping an eye out for anything that hunts in open area like this. She picked a tip, about four inches, of the tall grass and twisted it around in her fingers.

Atherius slid down the slope with caution; though only because the lacking view of the ground could lead towards an unwanted bear-trap or some other type of unpleasant hunting tools that might have been placed down and never returned to their owners.

The Brother's follow, Palid as he walking looking for stronger reeds, bigger non posionous plants and the like, Fred's bandage is gonna have to be changed soon, looking around, Fred asks the hard hitting Questions.
Fred. "Did any of us bring rations for what is turning into a multiday hunt?"

Vellian paused for a second at Frederick's comment, turning around for a moment and shaking her head.
"No, no rations. We were all on patrol, simply lying around, or hiding in the trees. Let's pick up the pace before we go empty."
She kept moving through the mountain pass, when suddenly two shadows could be seen as two large figures hopped overhead across. Vellian drew her arming sword, and started to jog forward, hopefully to escape these new adversaries.

Paldonna looked over her shoulder to Frederick. "I'm a huntress, I can just hunt for food." She returns her gaze to the front and notices the two new oncomers. She crouches a bit lower in the grass, plainly out of instinct, and keeps her hand ready to grab her bow and arrow.

Atherius shrugged and continued his way through the tall grass. Humming softly to himself from time to time as he ran his left hand across the surface of the grass. The swishing of the overgrown land tickling the front of his plated thighs and shins; though Atherius still remained silent for the most part in the way of socialization.

Fred goes to run keeping his head down, Palid lifts his shield as he dares a look up to see what is stalking them, since Thief girl still has his spear Bandit axs.

The creatures hopped down from the gorge with a huge thud. They were giant lupine creatures about the size of horses- Mountain Wargs. While there was only two, their relative size and strength would pose a threat to the group.
Vellian pointed her arming sword and buckler shield in the direction of the Worgs, for a second she turned to her companions to speak.
"These monsters never stop coming!"
She looked back at the aggressors.
"But why?"
Vellian sounded very frustrated and frantic, as a result of how many battles they fought within the amount of times they ventured out. Never once in her guard duty had she fought this often, or opponents of this relative strength. Bandits, Hydras, Owl Kin, and now two Mountain Worgs.

Paldonna stayed low in the tall grass, taking off her bow and attaching an arrow to the string. She pulled the bowstring back, ready to release.

Fred stands, arm now in a sling, the injured one but holding his sword.
Palid draws his ax and shield. "Di..di..did some one open.. the gates of the nightmares, or hell?"

Atherius gave his usual shrug, definitely not saying things in some other past location or anything of that sort! Looking from side to side, the armored man softly sighed with his head running around contemplating.
"Mating season."
He said, giving a nod, though stopped as he did his best to look up towards the sky.
"Actually, that might have been last month? If that's the case, then it is more than likely some type of discomfort within their natural grounds. As well, if someone got to opening the gates to the realms of the nightmarish polar-opposite of our own lands? Then I'd be more impressed at how they replaced-- Well, I'd be surprised none the less."
He said, giving another nod as he softly hummed yet again!

Then, without warning, the two creatures charged the group, trying to run them over.

Paldonna jolted to the side to avoid being trampled - hopefully.

Moving his blade forwards in a lancing posture, followed with a bend in his knees, Atherius prepared himself to impale any of the two oncoming assailants if they lunged towards him, hoping he wouldn't get toppled down and that maybe one might just pounce on like a good lil' monster and become a makeshift shishekabob.

Since these were dumb Mountain Worgs, one impaled itself on Atherius' sword and died immediately. The problem was that it was nearly a thousand pounds, causing it to weigh the blade down as it fell, dead. Vellian grabbed her arming sword and stabbed into the flank of the other charging beast. However, it got stuck, so she was dragged along mercilessly as it tried to shake her off and she held on.

Paldonna shot arrows at the one Vellian was attempting to attack, hoping to end the creature swiftly.

Atherius placed his boot on the beast's corpse. Giving a firm push down, he slowly withdrew his blade from the beast with a bit of effort. Grunting, he looked towards the others beside him, making sure they where still around and not being overpowered by the other Worg; though he didn't move forwards to assist them, as to not add any more encumbrance and pressure to the group at this time.
