(Apparently it is the next day!)) Paldonna sits up. She had slept, but in a way more like a cat, still be aware of her surroundings and able to wake up quickly if she heard anything besides a hum, snore, or whistle of wind. Now she being this way woke up several minutes before sunrise, glancing around. She still held her stick and dagger in either hand.

Palid is sleeping, a couple of hours at least to have energy, and his brother is awake, sitting on a tree root, sharpening his blade with his whetstone with his one arm, sword laying across him like a scene out of darksouls.

Paldonna poked at the smaller fire flames with her stick. She mumbled to Frederick, "G'day to you."

Atherius was out some distance, leaning on a tree with one leg bent upwards into his chest. Arms wrapped around it with his armor set beside him, leaving only the leather trousers he chose to wear and his cotton padded-shirt. Humming softly to himself as he watched the morning forest life trek across their normal routes, with birds chirping and other critters doing what they do best! Atherius even swore he'd seen a collective of deer walking through.

Frederick Speaks. "We should hurry back to warn the Outer city, before the fishers head to the lake, that would be a diasters if they find the Hydra."

Paldonna mutters. "And they say I don't greet people warmly." Still kind of in that 'I don't like you still' zone with the group. "Eh, maybe they'll stay farther down the river... Besides, fishermen come out earlier in the morning, it'd be too late to trek all the way back and warn them before they started."

Vellian slowly got up, yawning after the day was beginning. Instantly, she puts on her kettle helmet and conceals her braids, looking around. She specifically looks behind her and lets out a deep exhale of relief to see that the blood trail is still there. She gets up and looks around.
"Good day to you all. Ready to keep going?"

Fred grunts clearly not liking that train of thought shuddering.

Fred nods.
"Let me wake my brother and we will depart."

Paldonna glances to Frederick. "They're always fishing in their territories if they're fishmen. I'm sure they know what's around them if they've fished theere long enough." She looks to Vellian. "Oi, we'd ought to be. Wait any longer the creature will be falling off the edge of the world."

Vellian nods and beckons to the others once more, starting down the bloody trail that'll lead them to the monster they were chasing in the first place.

Paldonna follows Vellian back on the trip to find the creature. She had new sharpened stick that needed more work before they were arrow-like, her bow hanging off her back, dagger in its sheath, and the spear she'd partly stolen from Palid.

Fred goes to wake his brother who rises groggy, and puts on his gear and follows.

Paldonna glances at each person before she speaks. "Why do you all seem to trust each other so much? From what I've seen, you act like you barely know each other - except for Palid and Frederick, being they're brothers - other wise, you act like friends... why?"

Frederick Shrugs. "The odds someone here is working with man eating monsters are slim"

"Still. What if someone just leaves? You all trusted Palid on night watch but he very well could have just gone back to town with you, Frederick. Yet everything is fine with you all, you go along, assuming each of you have each others backs." Paldonna said, even though the things she mentioned were probably things she'd do - go running off from the group , abandoning them, but who knew.

Fred nods. "Then why are you still with us? If this is how you feel about team work, I think we all agree the mystery of the legends coming not one, not two, but three in one night, keeps us bound to resolve this.

Fred nods. "And that's the common goal, aside the fact the woman is a soldier like ourselves, the mutual desire to hunt the beast, keeps us here."
