Vellian kept moving, focused on following the trail but not distracted on the banter behind her. There was no input she could insert on the matter, so instead she kept leading her companions onward. However, Paldonna's questioning really got her thinking; why did they trust each other so much, despite only having met now? She shook her head and kept up the pace, when suddenly the large oak trees that formed the canopy that blocked most of the light started to thin as they moved forward. Vellian easily noticed this detail and suddenly started to move faster.

The Brothers hurry on ahead into the clearing this is bad, as the trees part, less coverage means less trail.

Paldonna quickly noticed Vellian walking quicker and jumped forward to match her pace.

Atherius was definitely following the entire time! Though, he didn't seem to put his helmet on today. With his sword weighed upon his shoulder, his shimmering blue eyes caught the glint of the new day's shining sun. Tracing along the crimson-soaked path of beast's blood, he listened in silence to the conversation between the group. Raising his view from time to time, catching the environment ahead that remained veiled farther off from them. Feet cracking the twigs and old leafs upon the ground with a crunch, followed by a jingle from his plate-mail from time-to-time.

Atherius then stopped abruptly and looked on as the party quickened their pace. Nodding once, he began his regular speed again, opting to stay at the usual pace to conserve energy, as well as focus on the area around.
"Never rush ahead when anything could happen."
He said in a hushed voice to himself.

Paldonna just wanted to know what Vellian was seeing so hurried up with her. Or it could be the fact that the forest was thinning slightly so the creature would have more room to run.

The group bursts into a large clearing on the other side of the forest, trickled with trees, bushes, and overflowing with tall grass that grew up to three feet tall. Craggy mountain passes and ravines also were a common sight, adorning many sections of the new land they were in, one that had not been touched by human feet before. In front of them was an inclined slope that could not be walked down, so, Vellian instinctively slid down to the bottom and gestured for her companions to follow. The blood trail, though, disappeared in the abundant amounts of tall grass.

Paldonna followed Vellian, sliding down the slope, catching herself again at the bottom. She looked around at the open land and started forward. If they'd lost the blood trail then maybe the creature would have just started straight forward?

Palid blinks, taking out a map, trying to see how far they went as he and his brother go to slide down. It was only a nights hike, he wants to see where they are.

Atherius came out of the forest only to see Vellian slide down the slope. Blinking his eyes, just to catch Paldonna doing the same, she shrugged and walked over. Staring down the slope and into the pit they'd chosen to enter, he instinctively squinted his eyes and studied the zone with caution. Seeing, from the elevated view he had, that there was no signs of the shimmer of blood, recently trailed or dried, he decided to give a few moments to thought as he pieced together the trail that they where following. Nodding once, he opted to sit on top, before the slope's descent, as he awaited a call from either of the two women who pushed further below.

Vellian called up to Palid, Frederick, and Atherius.
"It's fine! Come on!"
She beckoned them towards her and moved on.
(We're posting on the Outlands now. Sorry for changing locations, but it's no longer a forest soo)
