"I have."
He kept moving. Slowly snow would come into view as they kept gaining altitude.

Triana shivered as she followed. She was used to moderate temperatures in a sunny town, not chilly mountain terrain. "Oh..."

It seemed as if an hour passed in the blinding cold, before they got to the peak finally. Nix'Xel seemed very focused and undistracted the entire time, making sure to not be sent off track. He showed no negative reaction to the low temperature whatsoever.

By the time they'd reached the peak, Triana was shivering constantly. She only had on her everyday dress, and it wasn't particularly warm. "Do tell me it gets warmer...?"

"No. Not until we get to the bottom."
Nix'Xel gave a quick glance in her direction, and noticed she was shivering.
"Hmph. Here."
He grabbed a glass flask from his bag. In it was a brown, bubbling and overall disgusting looking potion. However, he offered it with a genuine, honest motion.

Triana hesitantly took the flask, looking at the gross liquid on the inside. "'At is it...?"

"Potion. Warmth. Drink or freeze. Your choice."
He stated this with a firm tone of voice.

Triana made a rather sickened face - the site of it alone looked like filthy water. She took the cap off and took a sip of it.

It had no taste, but it was syrupy, going down at a slow and uncomfortable rate.
"It'll take a moment to work."

Triana paused, waiting for the potion to start working. She wasn't very thrilled about drinking some mysterious potion from a mysterious stranger she barely knew.

The potion would work fine, though. Slowly but surely everything would start to feel warmer, and even snow would melt right off at contact.
"Let's head on."
Nix'Xel turned and kept moving, still calm and professional as always.

Quickly put the cap back on, her shivers going away. She looked from the potion to Nix'Xel and hurried to catch up again.

After some time traversing the rocky peaks and craggy passes of the snowy mountains, they would finally be descending. It was about two hours past by that time.
It was now noticeable that the mountains had several pine trees, berry bushes, and rocks with lichen littering them once the snow had become moderate. Nix'Xel's potion would begin to lose its effect.

Triana felt the air around her become colder again. She didn't shiver as much but it was still considerably cold to her. "Er... 'ow long are we going to be out 'ere? My papa is probably worried sick..."

"I'm going to be here until I get my artifact. If you want, you can go home right now."
He narrowed his eyes, chitinous eyebrows covering them in a manner that seemed annoyed.
"I never said you had to come with me."

Triana did want to go home - but she also didn't want to be attacked by wild animals or more thugs... She looked at Nix'Xel, looking like she were going to try and explain, but paused, a bit nervous to do so.

Nix'Xel could practically sense her nervousness. He did not budge from his original position.
"Go ahead."

Triana paused, his expression not making it any easier. "I... er... I... I don't know about 'ou, but in my village, it is very uncommon for a young lady to go out by 'erself... at least zis far... And... and I stayed with 'ou because I was frightened to go 'ome by myself..." she said uneasily.

"That will not sway my opinion."
Then night was falling, so Nix'Xel went to a nearby cave as refuge from any monsters that could come out during nighttime, not speaking to her at all as he moved.

Triana looked around. She was frustrated and tired and she silently followed after him.
